In the beginning
Billy and I met in Kailua Hawaii on February 6, 2004. It was love at first sight. We spent all of two and a half weeks together before the Marine Corps sent him off to Chesapeake Virginia for 3 months. Billy came back to Hawaii for 15 days and was baptized by the 8Th day. He bought me a promise ring just before leaving and then the Marine Corps sent him away for 1 year to Bahrain. He was able to come back for a visit in October. That's when he proposed on a bridge that crossed over the freeway walking from the airport to the parking lot. SO sweet. After a much to short visit he wasn't able to come back again until February 2005 when we were married on Kailua Beach in Kailua Hawaii. We had a few more days together before he had to go back to Bahrain again. He had been given orders to go back the Chesapeake in June 2005. So once again he made the long 2 day trek to Hawaii where our family and friends came together and we celebrated our marriage. We were sealed in the Laie Temple in Hawaii on June 9, 2005 and then had a ring ceremony in front to Waimea Falls up near the North Shore. It was romantic and perfect and beautiful. Then next day we moved to Virginia. After a year we decided to have a baby. I got pregnant right away and on April 24, 2007 @ 2:18 p.m. our lives changed for the best when our son Noah Craik Sandiford was born. Our joy will be doubled in July of 2008. We are expecting a little girl. Her name will be Ayla Michelle Sandiford. We have been in Virginia for 3 years and now have orders to move to San Diego. Billy will be stationed at Camp Pendleton. We have made wonderful friends and found ourselves in situations we never expected. Billy's dad passed away in March of 2007 exactly 1 month to the day Noah was born. We miss him but, know he is resting in peace. Noah being born brought us a feeling of renewal as if a piece of him was given back to us. Now we are off to start a new journey in California. Wish us luck!
